Finish& that is strong On! Hey, senior high school seniors

Finish& that is strong On! Hey, senior high school seniors everyone knows that summer time is around the corner. For Southern Ca residents, it’s already right here (at least it was for a week. You will be ready to replenish on suntan cream and your attention period gets faster and reduced in course. We am aware it may get difficult but hold on a longer that is little. Never give in!

Jordan stated, ‘It’s perhaps not how difficult you push along the way, it is having something in one to finish.’ I know, We wish he had been speaing frankly about an In N Out burger too. Maybe with side of animal fries.

All kidding aside, you should close out your year that is senior consistent and finish strong. Keep doing what you’ve been doing the past 4 years plus don’t let up. Although you had an impressive scholastic fall semester, keep in mind that colleges will nevertheless desire to see your final school transcript that is high.

Here are a few things to help retain in brain as the is ending year:

AP/IB Tests
Refer to my blog that is previous on these nevertheless matter and just how they are able to assist. It is worth every penny to place in the extra work!

Final Grades
We are requesting your final grades. It’s important to keep your grades up in the semester that is final it does influence your offer of admission. You have come too far and worked way too hard to stop caring regarding the grades now.

You Say Goodbye, I Say Hello (Hello, Hello)

After a year and a 1 / 2 of (virtually) working with you, our followers, we believe it is bittersweet to say that this really is my final weblog post. Today is my final time at USC. Sharing my voice through the blog is this kind of fun learning experience. We ended up being able to see a desire for web development and user design/experience, and We am excited to say I am forever grateful for the time I’ve spent at USC and I can’t say enough about my personal and professional development while I’ve been here that I will be moving on to continue working in that field. The individuals who work right here are excellent at whatever they do; you are typical in good hands. It’s specially inspiring to operate every day alongside colleagues who truly worry about this work. These are typically peers, but we am honored to also phone them friends.
Finally, it couldn’t be a blog post without my typical list. Below are the top 3 things I discovered throughout my two and a years that are half USC.

Never Stop Learning
For every body who’re about to begin with college, the following four years will be the final amount of time in yourself that your particular job is to discover. Learning is exactly what you shall be doing 24/7. Carry this character of learning you have graduated and approach every day knowing that there is always more to learn with you after.

Free Food rocks !
In reality, this is budget advice. I’ve discovered that I spend probably the most cash on food every month so I always simply take advantage of free food. The mistake was made by me of taking too long to find out just how to track my cash. Like John Maxwell stated, ‘Tell your hard earned money where you can go rather of wondering where it went.’

Diversity Rules
I like my workplace for many and varied reasons; one of them could be because of the different backgrounds of my colleagues. There is an operating joke within the office that we sometimes look just like a United Colors of Benetton advertising because of how diverse we are (so we dress ON POINT). However in every severity, being around my colleagues has triggered me to find out more about other peoples’ experiences and perspectives. Discover to comprehend the benefits of diversity. You’ll be an improved frontrunner, community member, worker, employer, and being that is human.

Well, that’s it for me. To my pupils from Napa, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Davis and the state of Washington, I will miss you dearly during travel period. It is truly been a pleasure serving every body and in the terms of Ron Burgundy, ‘Stay classy and thanks for visiting.’

We now hand you off to your brand new blogger and my colleague, the hostest with all the mostest, Sam Schreiber.

Hey everyone else!My title is Sam and i’m so excited to be joining the USC Admission we Blog! I’ve been working at work for nearly four years now and also have worked with Houston, Austin, San Antonio plus the main coast of Ca since We began. I’m from SoCal and attended Calabasas senior school before going to Nashville, TN for college. At Vanderbilt, we double majored in Spanish and therapy and then arrived back to Los Angeles and did a masters in social work here at USC.

I became really involved with the admission office at Vandy (that is what the cool kids call it, we promise), and dabbled in graduate school too, so pursuing college admissions as a vocation had been always on my head. Along with having the ability to try out a part in greater education by having a great band of colleagues, I adore working together with prospective and present pupils. My concept is I stopped growing up at around age 16, nonetheless it is kids that are also possible times are just super cool.

I am hoping to bring a reputable and authentic perspective to the admission we blog and help people see your admission counselors really are just as if you, whoever you are. I’ve no question that whatever topics I cover you will see personal anecdotes thrown in there (and probably cat pictures) but also wish to provide shmoop pro insight into just what is a very process that is human. Thanks for reading!
